Ouch Pouch +

Yesterday little F had an accident and unfortunately I'm sure it will not be the last one so since yesterday this Ouch Pouch now lives in our freezer.

Pattern:
I saw this on this & that and decided to make one. Mine is made of a peice of fabric that is 15 x 28 cm and filled with 2.5 dl rice.

Material:
White and red cotton scraps.

Next time:
For an Ouch Pouch this size is perfect, but I am going to make some more for F to play with and I think they shoud be a little bit smaller.

Hoot hoot!!

This is part 1 of operation 'Take rails off F's cotbed'. Will keep you updated on this...

Pattern:
I saw Retro Mama's Stella & Stewart and decided to try to make something similar. Mine is not nearly as perfect as Retro Mama's but it was fun making it. :o)

Material:
I bought the red cotton fabric in a charity shop here in Wimbledon. The cord and felt is from the fabric shop in Tooting.

Next time:
If I make another one I think I'll make the pattern a bit wider and stuff it a bit more.

Matilda's new clothes

This little doll is called Matilda. She used to be mine when I was a little girl and now she belongs to F. Matilda has been in storage for the last couple of decades(!) and was in desperate need of some new clothes. She got this little polka dot top and some very simple trousers with elastics in the waist.

Pattern:
My own.

Material:
Leftover cotton fabric from when I made the curtains for F's room and white stretch jersey from my stash.

Next time:
Make 'holes' for arms bigger. A bit tight on this one...

It started with a toadstool...

Earlier this summer my cousin U came for a visit with her daughter. They gave F a lovely little money box in the shape of a toadstool. It is so cute and now has a proud place on a shelf in F's room. This gorgeous little  toadstool inspired the creations in the next few posts and F's room is slowly developing a red and white theme to match with the money box.

♥ Thank you U!!

Mouse-rat, hi and goodbye!!

This is Mouse-rat. Another 'old' creation that I have decided to put up here on my blog. The reason is that I have never made a soft toy before and since my daughter doesn't like it, it will probably end up in a box somewhere never to be seen again. By putting it here it will stay 'alive'... ;o)

Pattern:
Downloaded one of the free patterns from Ottobre. Mine had a nose too from the beginning, but it was soon pulled off by little F.

Material:
An old pair of trousers as the main fabric, some pink and 'skin coloured' felt for hands, ears, face and heart + stuffing.

Next time:
Will not be a next time...
